Valuable Photo !!!

"Woman sells photo of many George Washingtons for $1,000,000"!!! (Or is that John Hancock?) Ha, I could buy more quilting stuff!

Hope this is our last spring snowfall! We had a lot of blowing snow, most of going towards Iowa.

There have been several gals making Bonnie's "Star Struck" and I realized mine has not been posted when quilted, so voila, here it is. I used stash, including the back, and made full use of the little triangles that many consider waste. I still have a bunch of tiny red HST all ready for another project. I DID have to make more of the blue HST to go all around the quilt. And yes, it's laying out on the snow.

Here is the back.

  1. Oh I feel this photo is just for me. *big grin* I remember asking you if you would ever put a quilt out in the snow and take a photo, and you said "I would do that." (this was in reference to another blog where someone had done that.)

I just love your quilts, your skills, your stash, your tools, you.

Have a good weekend. Our snow should be all melted soon!

  2. That is SO pretty! Even tho I know most of the HST were made from leftovers...I still am amazed at how many there are! Did you count? My head is spinning! (sorry..bad play on words!)

  3. Elaine,
I love the variety of lights you used--they show up well when I click the quilt.
I also love your use of the tiny triangles. What a beautiful job.

  4. Just beautiful! And the snow makes a very nice backdrop. Is that machine quilted on a domestic? I'm still mulling over the possibilities (or impossibilities) of machine quilting.

  5. Your quilt is gorgeous. OUr snow is mostly gone now and I am hoping it's gone for the year, even though it makes a beautiful backdrop for a quilt.

  6. Beautiful - I love how you used the little triangle squaqres for a sawtooth bordeer. I wouldn't have thought of doing that. The snow makes a perfect backdrop - though I'm sure you are completely sick of it by now.

  12. I love all types of star quilts and yours is a beauty. Our snow is all gone but the cold weather is lingering. I'm torn between garden clean-up chores & busting more of my stash in my cozy sewing room. Sewing is winning so far. My pile of flimsys is growing!
