FOLLOWERS - When in doubt, READ the instructions

The above title is a reminder to ME -- LOL!

This is what I learned about "Followers". Go to Dashboard, and SCROLL to the bottom of the page, and READ instructions.

Being a practical person who does not like to 'fiddle' with things that work, I fail to see the advantage. Being sceptical by nature, I also wonder why we have to change from Bloglines, or other 'readers'.

I know who reads my blog (via your comments) and I can tell a LOT of people visit who do not leave comments. That's OK too. Guess time will make it more clear.

  1. I have several followers. But I don't follow. I find it is easier to go to one location (I use Google Reader) to read the blogs I follow.

  2. I have wondered about "followers" too -- but haven't investigated it much yet. My impression is it may make following the blogs I like somewhat more time consuming.

  3. I'm a "follower" of your blog...on Google Reader! I really like the convenience of using Google Reader. I check Reader when I check my e-mail. So, I stay updated throughout the day. It's pretty fun when I am reading other blogs and I see an blog update!

  4. Just another way to follow feeds, I guess. Re-inventing the wheel, IMHO. I signed up to "follow" several blogs through Blogger, including yours, but don't be hurt if I un-follow. I subscribe to yours and about 250 others through Bloglines, and I keep it open in a tab on my screen ALL DAY.

  5. I used bloglines but didn't seem to log in, had about 250 new ones but still didn't log in. At leaast this way when I log into my gmail and blog I can see who has updated. Guess its a case of 'horses for courses'.
I love (hate) your power of reasoning...why... because its excactly like the Scots. hugs s

  7. I'm so out of the loop I'd never heard the word Followers (in the blog sense.) I'm not going to start messing with computer set ups that go wrong on me even when I do it right.

  8. I've spent too much time organizing my Bloglines subscriptions to change to something else.

I no longer will accept Anonymous comments. I hope my adjustments to Comments do not cause anyone hardships.
