I am a quilter - a recently-retired woman living with my husband in the Nebraska Panhandle. We are surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies. We are located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

Mitered Multiple Borders, DD
This dark and murky photo does NOT do justice to this mitered, multiple border treatment, but then I couldn't climb up on the table for the best photo effect. (There are four borders.) The second photo is a little too washed out but ... You may notice one border has two different greens. I am 'making do' with pieces that were similar, in keeping with this scrappy DD. The borders are sewn together, just not sewn to the quilt.

Wow your DD looks wonderful.Love the colors. Even in bad light...I love it. I am sewing part 2 now. when will I ever get it done??? not a clue.

Did you sew the strips together first and then mitre? I've heard that's easier.

I like putting multiple mitered borders on this way. I just did it for my 4SQS#5. The DD is just awesome!

Double mitered boarders! I bow to you. I really don't like doing these. I have tried different methods but for some reason I end up taking out my stitches 3-4 times. I don't enjoy that.
That looks awesome! I avoid mitered borders (and zippers, truth be told) like the plague. :)
Your quilt is great. I like your color combinations. The mitered borders really set it off. Great job, again!
