A quilting friend in Frankfurt, Germany

I received a lovely e-mail with photos from Heike, in Frankfurt, who had seen my recent quilt "RED" and made a similar one for her husband, in blues and grays  Heike says she is a new quilter, does not even use measurements!  However, she sure managed to make one stunning quilt.  She said she also recently learned to hand quilt.   I offered to show it off for her.  Heike, your quilt is stunning!  8-))

Coincidentally, I am making the same one as RED, only in BLUE, still unfinished.

Mmm.. I'd like to be in her sewing space and see how she does it with no measurements??? This is so pretty.

It's a pretty quilt...I made one just like it to take as a wedding gift for my exchange student in Germany I hosted some years ago. She picked it from www.Maryquilts.com directions of the quilts I showed her. She picked Indigo Blue, with only a couple of months to get it done I did it!
I really love your red & white version a lot!

What pattern did Heike use? I want to make a wedding quilt for my niece in neutral colors and think this pattern would be perfect. Please ask her if she will be able to share the pattern or at least the name of it. If she is willing to share please email me directly with the information as I came across your blog accidentally.

Thanks
Judy
