Two questions, for now

I am wondering ...

How many names are on your Bloglines?

1. I currently have 107, and keep whittling them down to under 100, only to put them back on, or I'll find another "too good to lose" site.

2. When you type any word beginning with the letter "Q", does it come out "quilt"?

Wow, three posts in one day - What's wrong with me? Am I normal?

27 comments:

  1. I have bloglines and I currently have 245 blogs. Not all of them are quilt related. Some are "inspiration" blogs that are are fun to browse like Ikeahacker.

Yes, every time I start a word with a "q" it comes out "quilt" just like any word the starts with "ho" becomes "hotel" since I work in the hotel industry.

Yes, you are normal. Some days people like to chat more than other days.

  2. Oh man, I sure can't compare to sweet p!! I currently have 93 on my bloglines, and I do the same dance with them - on, off, on, off.....I want them all! I end up doing more lurking than commenting tho - no good.

You know that zone where you're typing and not necessarily thinking? THAT'S where all the Q words come out 'quilt' and "guilt" is always, always spelled wrong! LOL!!
3 in one day? I think that's great! It seems even more like a close friend that will call just to say 'hi, guess what?'

  3. 1) 276, and I do not do a blogline reader, lol.

    2) YES, anything beginning with a "q" comes out quilt!!! (I thought I was all alone!)

  4. 193. I am having a horrible time keeping up with posts lately.

  5. 92. I have deleted about 3 recently because I found I was reading them out of habit rather than enjoyment. They weren't quilty blogs. 92 is the highest number I have had, usually in the 80s. I just don't have time to keep up with any more than that, and luckly some don't post too often! :)

  6. I'm at 36 but that's because I lost bloglines at the end of last year and am slowly putting blogs back on.

Yes, I do type quilt for all q words and for some reason I type bloog for blog whenever it comes up.

  7. I have 225 feeds on Bloglines. It's the only way I could keep up with that many. Yes, Q is for quilt!

  8. I have my most favoritest blogs on Bloglines--84. There are another 50or so that I check through as I have time. Can't read them all all of the time or that Q word would only be in my dreams!
Elaine, I love it when you blog! 3 blogs in one day is 3 times good! :-)

  9. I only have about 60 right now but I have only just started. If I get a comment from someone I don't know, I go and check it out and then add it or I might be reading a blog and it refers to another. It takes time. I am no sure if I can handle more at this point in time, if you ready them all

  10. I have 95 blogs under my bloglines acct. :) I love it that it highlights the names of those who have a new post up so that I don't have to go through all of them.
I love the quilt you showed on your post before this one!!! It is grogeous!

  11. I have way, way too many - over 300 I think. No wonder I can't keep up with the reading.

One of our branch managers at the credit union had the last name of Quint. I could never type his name correctly - it always came out Quilt LOL!

  12. I am up 114 right now... I have been closer to 200 & under 100...

  13. I try to limit myself to 50 and I don't even have time to read those!!! This includes quilting, writting, inspirational, cooking. Most of the quilting ones are from when I first started out blogging - these are the quilters I feel I "know" and know their style and know what they have made in the past. I would like to add more but feel like then I would spend more time reading about stuff I like to do instead of actually doing the doing!!! Judy's links for Stashbusting Sunday is my 1 other place I check for quilty blog reading.

    Cheers!

  14. I have 100 on my bloglines . . . but that's not counting those that I simply have bookmarked. I think I'm just fooling myself *s*

  15. Bloglines - I don't want to count. LOL

Yes, Q is for quilt. :-)

  16. too many...I try to read most of them, but there's something that 'cause my eye or I wouldn't have them on there.
I'm also a scanner...and am real bad about (not) commenting.

  17. I'm at 93....I'm finding the more I add, the less I comment. Not good. I guess we all have to find our balance point.

Just for the fun of it I went to my browser and typed in Q. All but one recent searches that popped up began with quilt. The non quilt one? Quidditch...guess I needed a fact on the fictional game. :c)

  18. I'm going though another stage when I feel like I'm spending way too much time on the computer so I'm cutting my bloglines WAY down.

  19. Yes, you are normal.

As for bloglines -- I have 179 feeds, but not all of them are quilting. Some I only check once a week or so, and some don't post often. I've been adding lately -- though, I should weed down again. The roster rotates. Hope that helps.

  20. Don't have very many bloglines.....compared to everyone else!! Quilt is for quilting. You mean Q is a letter all by itself????? Who knew!!!

  21. I haven't done the blogline thing yet, Elaine. But I will; promise. I do have those days where I just want to read about quilters. It's fun to find interesting posts. I find myself writing the letter "B" when I am to write my hometown now and sometimes it comes out with the town I was born and raised in that also starts with a "B" and haven't lived in since the 70s. Funny how our brains are wired.

  22. I have around 100 on my bloglines and try to keep it close to that. I add now and then, and I delete now and then. I was sure happy to find out about it tho--very helpful! Do you suppose that guy named Q in the Bond movies was a closet quilter?

  23. I love all the quilting blogs, and try to read them each day I have off. I wrote them all down, once, but there are new and cool ones each day!! sigh, I will NEVER catch up! hehehe

  24. oh my gosh.... so much to learn can someone explain how bloglines works please. It sounds like organised chaos, which is what I need rather that trying to remember. And I agree Q just has to follow with uilt.
Elaine yours is one of the most down to earth and informative blogs that I read. Thank you.

  25. As near as I can figure I have about 75 quilty blogs in my favorites. I have only found them in the last 3 months and recently began making comments. I enjoy the information, friendships, support and laughs. Didn't know there was any other Q word! Don't know about bloglines either. Just save all of the blogs into quilting fldr in favorites and check them when I can.

  26. Hello everyone!

Right now I have 70 favorites. 177 total. Q...yep! Quilt is what comes up. I love it!

I have a nice setup with Google reader. I can label each blogger so it is easier for me to remember who is at which blog or what I found interesting at a particular blog. Nice.

  27. I have the same problem as you with bloglines! I just don't want to miss anything!
