OMGosh - I was just reading an excellent tutorial blog for applique by Carol at Quilting Adventure. That's the FIRST excellent happening, but she also mentions a book by Harriet Hargrave, on Applique, so I clicked on THAT link, which took me to Amazon.com. Now, I have a love/hate relationship with Amazon.com, because I am a sucker for more books, but I glanced over the ad, and then, wonder of wonder, alongside my Amazon window pops up a separate window called a "Shopper's Report" giving me 5 other places to buy the book and all of them for LESS than the already discounted cost at Amazon.com. Competition!!! These bargains are getting near impossible to resist!
Maybe I should just concentrate on Carol's tutorial. First I need a round tuit ...
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.
Do they sell round tuit's on Amazon?? hehehe!
ReplyDeleteI have that book and it is great. Of course, Harriet and I go way back so I'll buy any book she writes. Yesterday I called Sew-Art at 1-800-231-2787 and talked to Chuck. He carries 137 colors of DMC 50 weight thread which is perfect for machine applique. I ordered gray, 4 different grays to be exact. Let me know if that helps.
