I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

BLIZZARD!
GET OUT THE SNOW SHOVELS, FIRE UP THE WOOD STOVE - WINTER HAS ARRIVED!!!
Thank goodness it is not terribly cold - just VERY windy and snowy. The wind kept me awake last night, and by 8:00 am, I had already done some of my shoveling. I LOVE the first snow of winter. 8-)
Photo to come later today.

Well, if you like it ...
ReplyDeletebut doesn't it seem awfully early for the first big snowfall??
It's unbelievably mild here and very sunny. One could wear summer clothes and be comfortable. Very weird.
We have freezing rain here and are hoping that it will turn to snow soon for fear of our power lines etc.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that wind fierce? That is all we got out of this storm: a very cold wind. Brrrrr.
ReplyDeleteOh be careful! It is cold here too, way down south. Enjoy your bounty of snow, on the news it says you will get loads!
ReplyDeleteThe first snow of the winter is all well and good, but NOT THIS EARLY!!
