A few more rows added today.
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

Garden Party - Beginning
I like it already! Somehow that red/white alternate chain block holds it all together. Each individual block is like a little quilt in itself! Thanks Bonnie, of Quiltville.blogspot.com.
The blocks turning into rows have been the least demanding - they are all fitting together quite nicely.

So pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! ;^)
ReplyDeleteComing out wonderfully! I agree that you made the right choice to do the reds!
ReplyDeleteThe red really pops those blocks! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYes, Elaine, the red pulls it all together. I was resisting Garden Party, but now may have to try it...

This is so pretty, Elaine! I haven’t made one of Bonnie’s patterns that calls for the on point setting yet. I think I would enjoy choosing the fabrics for the blocks. Maybe this would be a good leader/ender project for me.
ReplyDeleteLooking really good!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed making this one, but I didn't make all the blocks you are making. Mine was small.
The red really does make the whole thing cohesive.
Looks great!
