I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

Wow, amazing photos.
ReplyDeleteJodie
Absolutely incredible.
ReplyDeleteAwsome pictures, glad we didn't see any tornadoes while travelling through your State last week on our motorcycles. Narrowly missed the one north of Dever Co., travelled through about 2 1/2 hours before it hit. We also saw the damage in Independance. Great trip but scary when people kept approaching us at service centers and warning us of the storm's path
ReplyDeleteWow! Scary sight!
ReplyDeleteAwesomely scary.
ReplyDeleteScares the bejabbers out of me! I'll take earthquakes any day!
ReplyDeleteDiscovery Channel has a program called "Storm Chasers" that shows film of storms like this. These pics are so clear and sharp. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJust amazing. If I saw something like that in the sky, I wouldn't be standing there taking pictures, I can tell you that!
ReplyDeleteGlad it didn't come your way. Or my way either. I'd have a heck of time finding all of my fabric if it blew through here. Although, I admit, sometimes my studio looks like one did.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad it bypassed you! We've had so many tornados in my state this year - it's been heart wrenching for many folks.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those are awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing with us. I am glad you didn't have that at your house! Scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteWOW...that's amazing. There's really some power up in the sky there.
ReplyDeleteThose are some truly frightening photos! I hope to never be that close to a tornado! I've been close a few times, but not that close. Wow! I agree with Kathie - I sure wouldn't be standing there taking photos! Glad it missed you.
ReplyDeleteGood grief, how terrifying. The power!

ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOW! I'm glad it wasn't you standing in the path of this storm taking photographs.
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome, but must be very scary to be close to something like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them with us.
I love those photos. I miss living on the prairie where you can see clouds and storms like that. Here in NH we seldom see clouds like that. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat totally amazing pictures! I know that tornadoes are so very horrible but these pictures capture a kind of beauty in all that power.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Elaine! Those tornado photos look like the special effects in a movie! Nature is simply AWESOME.
