Today I finished with rearrangement of my Cat's Cradle blocks. I did this because I don't have a design wall and several times I had to pick up the blocks, then lay them down again, then pick up, etc. Finally decided I liked this setting better. Note what happens at upper right corner - on purpose but kinda interesting as well. It's the same unit, just rearranged. They still need some re-arrangement for balance. And I have to admit, the special ruler is responsible for perfectly sized units. I have a LOT of units left over but I'm trying to avoid a queen sized quilt! We'll see how that ends up. These finish at 9.5 in.
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

Love it... again. Hope your day was/is joyful and if you get more time, tell me how you managed that! :-)
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty! You are on a roll! "Time" is on sale at Walmart...NOT!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Hope you had a lovely Christmas celebration.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Santa was out of time when he got to our house, so I didn't get any in my stocking. You're making great progress on your quilt. What an interesting look the blocks have when placed together. At first glance, I'm thinking of floor tiles in some exotic destination. If you do go on to queen size, just think of the exotic dreams you could have of vacation in warmer climes. ha-ha It is lovely. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt.
