I am working on another Kaleidoscope quilt and have been obsessed with exchanging wedges between 2 slightly related blocks. While the blocks appears difficult, it is one of the first I learned, and is not difficult at all and the blocks are a perfect choice for using leftover WOF strips. The corner have not yet been selected. There is NO effort at matching wedge seams - your eye does the "matching".
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

What fun. I've always like this block.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteYou really got me excited about these blocks years ago. I bought the ruler, but so far have only made a couple of table toppers. It is a slick process. I like what you are doing here, and I love the finished quilts you have shared in the past. Just curious if you have any idea how many kaleidoscope quilts you have made?
