Where is my package?

Mailed USPS 1/08/25 to a niece in Wisconsin.   Expected delivery was supposed to be 1/13.  Today is 1/18.    Sometimes the tracking number indicates the package made it and has stopped moving within a    warehouse in Wisconsin, other times the  message says the (same) tracking number is incorrect.  Other times the recording indicates fires in Califorrnia have caused delivery issues.    What gives?   The surprise has become an anticlimatic gift after hearing  confusing or erroneous delays.

In honor of niece's "Guard Rooster".  This  one started at my hands, I gave it away unfinished to a friend who has chickens, but it came back to me as a gift, and I'm sending it to a niece who owns a Guard Rooster who protects his territory.

A good floor mat for visiting babies.

  1. Sorry for the gift not being delivered on time. That's frustrating. I love the chicken quilt. Two more quilts finished! Congrats! ;^)

  2. Nice quilts - again! Mail is frustrating. Canada's PO workers went on strike just before Christmas, so we got a card mailed Dec.17 yesterday, Jan 17. A parcel from our daughter in NC took three months to get here by delivery service. The world is not talking to each other either, just making all sorts of speculations. Heaven gets more appealing day by day! So we curl up in our quilts!! (((HUGS)))

  3. I WAS surprised that your strike was not included in the "reasons."

  4. The rooster and his hen harem quilt will be fun for a little one to crawl around on. Perhaps you could take the tracking # to the post office -- the clerks may be able to get to their inside network to find out where the package is and why it's stalled. (I remember one year that a Christmas present was undelivered -- the clerk here actually called the P.O. there. The destination clerked looked on the shelf (in the P.O.) and there it was.)

  5. Intended recipient is looking at her end, she knows the postal storage areas where it SAT for over 5 days. Post Office here closed today for Inauguration, but I'll give them a visit tomorrow with my receipt. We're both kinda deflated after all the waiting.
