When you're a "morning person' you see things like this! No amount of photo skill, of which I have little, can do justice to this field of sunflowers, facing the sunrise at 6:00 in the AM. The sky is not yet 'cornflower' blue.
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

Gootta love those sunflowers - I put a picture of sunflowers on my blog banner but it was a bit of a cheat - they were in a vase and I took the photo of them artfully against the sky ;-)
