Well, what can I say -- regarding my comments -- OK, they were whining and complaining, about two different visual descriptions of this star I just posted? When all else fails, Elaine Adair, "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS" DUFUS! Right there in the instructions, the designer, Karen Stone, says, "There are two different options to your design." And I also have her gorgeous book, and she says something similar "There are two different options to your design."
Chomp, chomp ... doesn't taste like chicken ...
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.
It happens to the best of us. That's one reason I like wonky piecing. There are no mistakes. I do spend a LOT of time ripping out though, just because it might look better done a different way.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is still a great quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love her quilts too but don't have the patience to make one. This is going to look great.
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, it's a gorgeous top you are piecing and looks like a million bucks! No matter which lay out you choose(now that you know there are two) it will be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWould you like some Humble pie to go with that crow?? Big hugs, happy smiles...Finn
If only I had a fat quarter for every time I mis-read. It would be awfully hard to mess up that pattern, it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteInstructions? You mean you are supposed to read those?
ReplyDeleteLOL -- I've been there/done that before. It looks like it will be an amazing quilt, no matter how you lay out.
Well, join the club.
