That Split 9-Patch arrangement (previous post) is too much for me -- while I like things that are visually lively, I will probably tone it down somehow. Maybe I'll turn all the blocks in one direction but if you have suggestions, I'd welcome them. I'm not much for "giving the eye to rest" but there ARE limitations to how much visual chaos a person can take! LOL
I will most likely add a plain 2-3 inch white border around it, then another border made of ??? I'm sure the LQS will have the perfect thing.
I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

They look like you can use the same layouts as log cabin blocks. Have you considered a barn raising pattern or something similar? I really LIKE the blocks and your layout is cool as is!
ReplyDeleteI think a white border will look nice!

I could see a very narrow red border between the quilt and the white border,a dark print and then maybe red binding. It's going to be a very striking quilt.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the crazyness of it! But I was thinking an off center barn raising pattern might look good too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love these blocks just the way you have them! It's stunning (in the good sense of the word!) I love b&w with red - wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCould you take a picture of one block so I can see the construction?
ReplyDeleteXOXOXO Subee
I loved it the way it was! I wouldn't make any changes to it. It will be interesting to see what you end up doing with it.
