I am a quilter - a retired widow living in the Nebraska Panhandle. I am surrounded by beautiful semi-arid ranch country, and treeless hills and fields under incredibly wide blue skies, located far from the upheaval found often in large towns or cities. I am blessed to have delicious time to quilt and to appreciate my peaceful moments in an unpeaceful world.

It's been over a week ...
Hey, when trying to comment, what's with the endless circle of entering my name and e-mail on Google, in order to leave a comment on MANY of the blogs! Irritating - I take time to comment, sign in under my Google profile, and it returns me to the Google sign in, and round and round. It's not me, I've checked! When I do a Preview, the comment box says I'm Anonymous, but since it never really "takes", no matter.

I haven't had any trouble commenting, but I've read that lots of bloggers are having trouble. I know it's FRUSTRATING. I hope you find a solution soon.
ReplyDeleteI have read that if you are using Firefox or IE that could be causing the problem too. Or if when you sigh in, you uncheck the box that says 'leave me signed in'. I am wondering if it has something to do with the new beta blogger that they are rolling out?
ReplyDeleteYep,been acting up the same way with me !! I just stoped trying to comment!
ReplyDeleteWhat is maddening is that it is not on ALL the blogs I visit, just some of them. Soooo frustrating.
ReplyDeleteIf all of the Blogger Blogs would change to a pop up box for their comments you won't have any trouble. When I try to leave a comment if I see if doesn't recognize me and says choose a profile I just don't leave a comment. You can solve your problem by unchecking the box for Keep my signed in, but then you have to go through sign in and password everytime you open your own dashboard.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem and have had to delete ccokies a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteI've had the same problem and assumed it was me to start wit, but then realised it was blogger!! Unchecking the box at sign-up has worked for me. Now I'm having trouble publishing picture on my blog ... but that's another issue :)
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI had to make an alternate gmail account (I tried using my Hotmail account, goggle didn't like it, I had to keep going back into hotmail to update my password, etc). Then I had to go back to my original blog/gmail account and click on the box to update my profile, this let me change my password to my original account. They sent the message with the link to actually accept the new profile with the new password
Then I had to wait for the little box you were talking about and uncheck "stay logged in".
I didn't want to loose my cookies, so I did it this way.
Now, I'm finding I have to log into my blog before I can load other blog pages. Otherwise the page won't load!!! So frustrating.
In order to load pictures, you may have to do the above so you have new security settings so the pictures are secure and not attached to any viruses (viri)when other people are looking at your post. I think this is the result when blogger was down for 24-36 hrs last month and in response to the hacking into Hotmail, Facebook, etc.
This took me about a week to figure out, so good luck!
Take care, Leslie
I have experienced this same problem. I keep typing and retyping the same information. I becamse so frustrated that I never left a comment. I emailed the blogger instead. Takes more time, but at least I got my point across. Yuk on Google!
ReplyDeleteditto! and UGH! wish they would fix it....
ReplyDeleteIt was happening to me too. Just do the sign up thingie again but UNCHECK "keep me signed in". That solved all my issues.
ReplyDeleteXOXOXO Subee

I thought it was just me!! Driving me crazy, hardly any of my comments are getting posted!!
ReplyDeleteI kept thinking blogger would fix it, but I still am having the problem. I did figure out like many others said if I uncheck the "keep me logged in" box I'm ok, but what a pain.
ReplyDeleteSo far I've been lucky -- but I haven't upgraded Firefox --yet. Perhaps I won't until I have time to deal with all of the issues
ReplyDeleteI thought it was just me! So far this week, knock on wood, all has gone smoothly.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Blogger will read some of our comments and work harder to fix this irritating bug.

Yes, me too! For a while last year I would type out all my comment and push the post comment button and my comment I had just spent minutes typing out just disappeared...ouuuuuu, you talk about frustrating!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been having some of the same problems the other commenters discussed. I will go now and make some of the suggested changes and see if that helps me!!!
